This forum used to be pretty busy, I've not been on for a few years.
No other registered users on line the last 3 times I've checked. I've made the only post in the last 24 hours. As far as I can see there haven't been many for the last month and many topics haven't been touched in over a year?
So what's happened?

Dunno what's happened or where everyone has gone. I look in often and sometimes leave a post to see if anyone is still alive.
As you said it used to be busy and had a lot of fun stuff as well as 4x4 stuff.

Cheers for the reply.
I cant complain as I haven't been on in a good while, just seems a bit of a shame.
Has been a really useful supply of information in the past.

I still find it much better than Facebook.

I was chatting to Simon H yesterday (original owner), on this very topic, and we agreed that Facebook happened.
It's the same with other forums, Mud Club, etc, everyone migrated.
There's Difflock.com on FB, but that stopped around 2020 as there was barely any interaction.
Then there's Difflock Old Guard on FB, but the last comment was over a year ago.
It's a shame as it was such a vibrant and eclectic forum

I have popped just to see what is going on, and answer any queries that go on. It was very vibrant but went quite. Forums are not the only place where things are quite, i picked up land rover magazine the other day and wow, it used to run 200+ pages now its down to just over a 100.

Agree with all of that: I try and keep an eye on things in here for those of us who still hang around ....

BTW: I'm now a Ripon lad and the 90 is heading up from London in about a month.... might need to come and say hello.

One day an Irishman who had been stranded on a deserted island for over 10 years, saw a speck on the horizon. He thought to himself, "It's certainly not a ship." And, as the speck got closer and closer,
he began to rule out the possibilities of a small boat and even a raft. Suddenly there emerged from the surf a wet-suited black clad figure. Putting aside the scuba gear and the top of the wet suit, there stood a drop-dead gorgeous blonde!
The glamorous blonde strode up to the stunned Irishman and said to him
"Tell me, how long has it been since you've had a cigarette?" "Ten years," replied the amazed Irishman. With that, she reached over and unzipped a waterproofed pocket on the left sleeve or her wet suit and pulled out a fresh pack of cigarettes. He takes one, lights it and takes a long drag. "Faith and begorrah," said the man, "that is so good, I'd almost forgotten how great a smoke can be!"
"And how long has it been since you've had a drop of good Irish whiskey?" asked the blonde. Trembling, the castaway replied, "Ten years." Hearing that, the blonde reaches over to her right sleeve unzips a pocket and removes a flask and hands it to him. He opened the flask and took a long drink. "'Tis nectar of the gods!" stated the Irishman. "'Tis truly fantastic!!!"
At this point the gorgeous blonde started to slowly unzip the long front of her wet suit, right down the middle. She looked at the trembling man and asked, "And how long has it been since you played around?" With tears in his eyes, the Irishman fell to his knees and sobbed, "Sweet Mary, Mother of Jesus! Don't tell me you've got SPAM clubs in there too!"

Hi Ged (and good to talk yesterday JoJo) and hi to all
Quick update to those who are still around:
Yes I have now retired from the Military (Well on terminal leave at least until the end of May). I handed over my Command on Tuesday this week moving out from London on the same day, and have now settled in North Yorkshire where I am making my home.
It's been a busy busy two years+ with many things going on and moving parts, and I know I haven't been in contact as I should ~ but it's all coming back together now.
I'll be back up and running on normal messaging lines in the next week or so ... now just to get my LandRover and trailer back from being repaired in the garage in Putney and get them both up here!!!! That's next week's job...
See you all around
Jonathan
