|

Images
Upload Picture Button
There are a couple of different ways to post images on Difflock.
If you are a new user, you may not be able to use the Difflock Upload
Picture feature. Regular users can request this button to be activated
If you are a regular user, and would like access to the Upload Picture button, please contact a moderator.
Picture Upload Web Sites
There are a variety of different free photo upload web sites.
I will demonstrate ImageShack
From the imageshack home page, look for the section below:
Ensure that upload mode is set to images/videos
You can use the image resize function if the image is really large.
This will make the forum easier to see, as large images can mess things up!
You can also add more files to upload at the same time.
Press the browse button, find the picture on your computer, then press the UPLOAD NOW button!
This will take you to the following screen showing you the picture you just uploaded.
From here, click on the image underneath the "Upload Successful" text
This will take you to the image itself.
At this point, right click on the picture and choose "Copy Image Address"
Then paste it into your difflock post.
It should be something like this:
http://img4.imageshack.us/img4/9696/79333153.jpg
When you just paste it in, it shows as a link to the image.
To put the image itself in your post, you have to change it to this:
Code: | |
The img "tags" on either side of the text tell the forum that it is supposed to be an image, and it will show the image in your post, like so:

To reduce photos so that they are small enough for the forum i recommend using a free programme called pixresizer,it can be found on a google search and is incredibly easy to use.

I had this problem.
I emailed difflock.com admin and they "turned on" my ability to upload pics.
Works now.

can you explain what you mean by nothing? Do you not see any photos on any threads?

You should be able to upload pics now. As Richard says, start a new thread in the appropriate section and crack on!

On a post, someone had an issue posting from iPad. Here's a guide I did for another forum using Photobucket on iPad.
Job jobbed.
You can also copy a link for a picture on the web by holding your finger on the picture, clicking 'copy' and if it is a jpg, gif, etc, you can use that link. You will probably have to paste it, then recipe the link from the address bar. Not sure why it does this.

How do you post pictures on this forum. I started an intro thread many years ago and was able to post a few pics, but for the last five years trying to post updates, no luck.

This is a dead forum, with only half a dozen people on it.
Try Facebook.

Yep, I haunt this forum from time to time. It's a really great forum, losts of useful information and jokes - here's one I nicked from another section.
Paddy is passing by Mick's hay shed one day when through a gap in the door he sees Mick doing a slow and sensual striptease in front of an old red Massey Ferguson.
Buttocks clenched he performs a slow pirouette and gently slides off first the right welly, followed by the left.
He then hunches his shoulders forward and in a classic striptease move lets his braces fall down from his shoulders to dangle by his hips over his corduroy trousers.
Grabbing both sides of his checked shirt, he rips it apart to reveal his tea stained vest underneath and with a final flourish he hurls his flat cap on to a pile of hay.
"What the heck are you doing Mick" says Paddy.
"Jeez Paddy, ye frightened the livin bejasus out of me, says an obviously embarrassed Mick, "but me and the Missus been having some trouble lately in the bedroom department, and the Therapist suggested I do something sexy to a tractor".

Dream machine; you can land it on a tanner or even backwards in a decent head wind.
