First of all Hi everyone. First post but this is my second vitara.
1.6 16v
Ive got a 1996 vitara for 95% off road use to recover culled red deer.
Most of the land ill be driving is hilly grass fields, i dont want to tear this up on the farmer.
Currently the vit has fatboy alloys 265 50 15.
Im looking to buy offroad tyres to fit the same rims. On all the reading ive done i think 265 70 15s will work with a 2" suspension lift.
I like the idea of a wider tyre so i sink less in softer ground.
Before i buy tyres im open to your recomendations.
Thanks in advance
Damien

You will struggle to get off road tires to fit fatboy rims due to their width (9 or 10 inch cant remember which one of the 2), i myself would not put 265/70-15 tires onto anything wider than an 8 inch rim but 9 inch is the max for them..They come out at just over 30 inches in diameter.

No surprise there, i usually put them on 8 inch wide rims.
