Phew it's been quite a while since I've been in here, glad to see it's still pottering on ..... Why haven't I been on Differs?
Well, mainly because I don't do 4x4 stuff any more. With Scotia Winch Challenge Club unable to find any land to run the competition on and me selling my Landy (and noticing that my bank account has mucho more cash in it at the end of the month - any chance the 2 a re connected). I do have a 4x4 - a Ford Ranger Wildtrak pickup, 3.2 (remapped of course) which I use as my work vehicle on the Smallholding but it's not exciting enough to need to think of it as a leisure 4x4.
What's new? Lots and nothing ... I'm single again after 8 years, I have a dog walking field business running from the Smallholding (www.securedogwalking.co.uk) and somehow BOTH my kids are learning to drive! The Alldays is running very nicely although with many oil leaks and ongoing fettling, I have a 1914 Alldays motorcycle which sometimes runs and a new project which is mainly why I'm here again .....
I'm on the scrounge for parts for a 1973-75 VW Beetle 1303. Anything considered, rough condition is fine as long as it works ..... best to email me rdover@baymed.co.uk
I have a few Landy bits left somewhere I think, for swaps ....
Of course the direction the new project is taking has an 'off road' bent but I am sworn to secrecy on the details for a while yet .... blog to come soon ...

It's a working vehicle. Sold the D4, raised £15k, bought the Wildtrak with a discount on 0% ford finance and reclaimed the VAT ....
I've started a blog for this one
https://bubthebeetle.blogspot.com/
It's going to be a Baja with 235/75 r15 tyres (on the same rims) but not totally wild. I want to keep the original wings in some form.

A question for you, sir.
235/75 r15s looking for a 80/20 on/off road AT tyre that's not got a massive weight rating and won't cost me £000s
Suggestions?

You can get BFG AT pattern remoulds from Kingpin for around £60 each.

Hi Richard.
I made an offer of wheels i have in the Tyre Section post before reading this thread.
So as well as the Fedima Sirocco i posted about there i also have for sale
4 Yokohama Geolander A/T-S G012 in 235/75 R 15 on black steel 8 x 15 Suzuki Jimny bolt pattern wheels. Done about 800 miles, maybe less.
£400 delivered in person around the 9th August if any interest.
*As fitted for road use to Ariel Nomads.*
That will be them in the picture, i would put the Siroccos back on it.
If the Jimny Interests you it is for sale @ £1,600 with the Tyres/ Wheels of your choice on,
or with both sets of wheels / tyres for £1,900
MOT'd till March 2019.
The MOT history can be checked online, welding was required for the last MOT,
inner sills at seat belt mount area. I need to put a new exhaust on it broke last week while at the Harley Davidson in the City Festival which made for a rather loud run home.
George

Thanks, I spotted the tyre section reply.
I've bought a set of new Malatesta remoulds for a VW Beetle Baja I'm building to take to the Sahara and back. I've gone for BFG AT pattern tyres for the look and because they're great all rounders ... remoulds are fine for the Beetle which is light and low power (for the moment) and they only cost £300 delivered. They should fit on the wheels on the car.
