Welcome back - you've missed 4 pages of banter in the lounge although 2017 didn't quite manage a full page to itself

Mods seem to have stopped posting but no one really misses them

Loads of spam - we see more now cuz GED seem to have given up fuming at them

Enjoy your return Laughing Laughing Laughing

BTW watcha been doing for 4 years?

Steady away really. Part way through building a fast road /tarmac terrorist Jimny for a giggle. Getting close with the handling then it's finding it some more go, it's quite therapeutic.

Pictures are a lot thin on the ground im afraid. But surprisingly if you spend just a few hundred quid on some decent dampers and the same again on some proper tyres a Jimny actually has a really sweet chassis, add lightness and it starts to work. The ride is terrible but it corners like a spaniel. Great fun on twisties. Next on the list are some 18s to further destroy the ride, then as time and money allow I am lusting after a 1.6 vvt out of the swift sport, easiest way to a hundred plus hp and a 0 to 60 measured in seconds instead of phases of the moon.

I take it from that that this place has become a little bit quiet?

Welcome back.

Are you going to maybe start a thread in the Suzuki section on your build, or the build section, i am interested.
?
What engine is in the Jimny now?
I have ran one and gone to the drifting track with it on 16" & lower profile tyres, as to 18" i would just never have bothered with those.
I was trying to run the car lower,
and i have had 15" on and lower profile road tyres to get the speed i was after,
this is with an Autobox though.

I have driven a couple of Comp Safari Jimny with 1.5 VVT engines and auto boxes, but also a 1,328 CC with some tuning that was actually quicker.

Nightbar, your signature is making me feel all nostalgic and homesick for somewhere i have only ever been on holiday for less than a week. Naples really is the only place outside of the north coast of Scotland where I have ever felt comfortable and serene and at one with the world. Thank you for reminding me.

No worries my friend - I lived there from 2005-2011. Miss the place.
