So, t'other month I had a Mitsubishi L200 SVP press car on loan and decided to kill 2 birds with 1 stone. I shan't spoil the story as you can read it here...

Soggy ones with the rain, it was the wet type of rain. I couldn't even use my Ghillie Kettle...

Looked like a nice day out. I liked the L200 just a shame it's so dang ugly. I'm not usually the sort of person that is bothered by that sort of thing but it's a car I'd have to park around the corner, I couldn't have it infront of my house!

Each to their own I suppose, I reckon it's really pretty!

It's a good truck. I like the interior, it's finished with nice detail, not styled that well but on par with this type of thing, the engine is powerful enough for what it is, it's quiet enough on the road, the ability to use 4wd on road is a big plus over a lot of competitors and the option of a rear locking diff plus the load handling is good. It has useful technology like trailer wobble assist and bi-xenon headlights. It's also priced sensibly with options from pleb spec to blinged up.

Downs are the warranty isn't the best, the towing capacity isn't the best, the styling around the load area impacts on practicality on higher spec models, the auto is only 5 speed (although I don't like auto so that doesn't bother me), it's a shame they don't have the folding rear window, it has the sort of tech I hate like keyless entry, auto lights & wipers, things that beep at you all the time like lane departure assist and things like climate which annoy me but you seem to get pushed on you if you want anything other than the pleb spec truck.

I liked it but just couldn't get over that front grill. There's nothing I like about the outside. I actually came close to buying the Fiat just because I thought they'd managed to improve the looks just by sticking a pair of punto headlights on it. It is a personal thing but I don't like cars that stand out, I like cars that look nice without being in your face. I find cars from the East tend to be styled to make them stand out in a crowd, to get you noticed, not by people looking at them and thinking they're nice but by the shock factor.
