Looking like it will be the only affordable new proper offroader left unfortunately.

So how does that (and indeed the G-Wagon) still manage to pass NCAP testing?

Hopefully a replacement Jimny will be on sale in the UK by next year.
Just been thinking of buying a new one of the current to replace my 2003 1328cc DOHC 16v Auto with manual transfer lever Jimny
& be a keeper, even though it only has 52,000 miles on it and goes as good as it did 14 years ago, which was good enough for me.
(it got some welding last year at the mounting points for the MOT,
and has had a pair of discs & pads, swivels twice and spark plugs once,
and an oil & filter change once...., a few air filters though. Never ever has done more than 25mpg but can top the ton on private roads and not topple over if an elk comes out.)
Amazing that something like a Jimny Auto was £11,000 plus in 2003 and is only a few thousand more for a new one now, £14,290.60 pence APPROX....
and the 14 year old is worth at least a couple of grand, and more than that to me.
My 1999 Jimny has only 29,000 miles on it, but then it is Triggers Broom.
