Hi all. Looking for some advice. I work for a estate in Yorkshire. We have two 6x6 pinzgauers. Ex radio shacks with fibreglass body on the back. Fitted with 2.5 petrol engine. We have just started using one again. And today it has blown all electrics... It shorted on the wiper motor and tripped the pop out style fuse breaker on the dash. A little way down the road I reset the breaker to a big sparks and flash and all electrics have gone no a thing. All breakers are set, none popped. Replaced a melted connection to ignition switch. Can't see any others. Is there a breaker or fuse for the main feed somewhere hidden in the basic electrical system I can't find??.. We Realy need this vehicle running. Any help will be most appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Big sparks and a flash from where? That's where I'd start looking

Big sparks from the wiper motor, and switch board area. It seems the wiper motor case is live and the coffee flask shorted it to the body. I did not realise this at the time and mcb was reset. ******! I've a multimeter and will look tonight. Ive studied a wiring diagram, will start checking from battery's thro starter and so on.

All sorted. One of block connectors behind the dash had melted the connection on the main feed. Bypassed the block with a length of wire and some bullet connectors. Jobs sorted. Cheers.
