First off, sorry for the late reply to you all, I did really appreciate the good feedback!
Glad to report stairs are all finished! CNC cut, TIG welded, raw metal lacquered finish, oak treads.

The stick man story sort of goes like this:
Stick men all hanging out being sticky.
Monster turns up looking scary and they all run away.
Some stick men chase monster with a sword.
Monster comes back holding bottle of beer.
Stick men (and stick dogs) realise monster is friendly.
Stick men use sword to cut up cake instead of monster.
All have a party, drink beer and eat cake.
Tired & drunk stick men & Dogs fall asleep on friendly monsters back.

Thanks Very Happy I'd love to do another set for our house, but with a automotive/engineering theme, with wheels, engine parts, cogs, chains etc in the riser cut outs...

There's only the small problem that I live in a bungalow!
