The other way around. The chest plate is the winter project. The pop bottles were the; "okay, it's 2:30pm Friday, i'm driving to Leicester first thing tomorrow morning and I don't look like a space pony and where am I sticking my IPad? ". The pop bottles are back to being garage-footy items Smile

I won a medal at Buck2015 in Manchester this month for my cosplay!

Also, the Beast turned over for three seconds, fired and ran sweet. So far my plan of "not dicking around with it over the winter" is looking like a better choice than "remove complex parts in a bid for minor improvement".

You do know that they are not new? Used to be sold with a brush on the end so you could wash your car - as you moved your brush so you pumped up the water to wash your car - think I might have one in the garage somewhere that my father bought back in the 70's

Oh hell no, it looks like it could be Victorian, but the real question is; why would those horrible green or red bulb pumps ( that split and leaked ) be on the shelf when you could have one of these?
Having seen them in a few American you tube car vids, like road-kill, I wasn't about to walk past one Smile

I owned a styrup pump once. Now that was old school Smile

I think it looked better when it was a lawn mower.

That red bar "knob crusher" could do with a bit of padding and some heat insulation is needed on the first part of the exhaust because it looks to be far too close to where your balls are!

I'm glad you like it Smile A kids side car was an odd beginning!
I was struggling to think of a seat? I tried some logs, but they were very uncomfortable. Darren said a cut up road cone would be good? But I am heading toward 50 pence for a soft toy from the charity shop and cable tying that on Very Happy

I'd get the soft toy just for the stuffing, then use it to fill a pair of old welding gauntlets. Cable tie them to the seat and it will be more comfy, and stop you from melting your knackers on the exhaust while riding it Laughing Laughing

Edit: just bid £7 on giraffe a couple of towns over . . . . . Very Happy

Undoubtedly the most sensible way to do a job like that Smile

However.......
This is me, so that is an ancient Bosch jigsaw, an unsuitable range of files, maplins version of a dremmel and a junior hacksaw blade used as a file.
