Hello there,

We are thinking of getting a 1.9ddis GV at the moment as our daily car is falling appart just out of warranty and we need a good 4x4 for our business.

Whats peoples thought on these then? Are they reliable minus DPF issues? Do they pull well as my Mrs has stated if its as slow as the jimny its a no go lol. Are they cheap to basic lift?

Any info would be very help,im hoping with a little lifting it os another cracking offroader with a bit more driveability over the jimny
Cheers
Mick

Im a fleeting visitor these days though pal ill admit that as i dont have a SJ anymore and dont offroad lots.

There always used to be real regulars on this place however and on every forum...now all the sites do seem quiet and its a shame.

Real shame as id rather eat my own knakars than use Facebook as apparently lots do Very Happy

Cheers
Mick

Having owned a SJ and have been off-roading I bet you must have a wealth of knowledge on both that you could pass on to newbies...

I know nothing about the question you are asking - vitaras yes I might be able to answer a couple of questions on - but not GVs or Jimnys or SJs but I still look in at least once a day (probably more than the mods do Rolling Eyes )

Iv got a 08plate grand vitara it's been brilliant mine is 2l petrol tho had no reliability issues only thing that's been replaced apart from brakes pads disks and shoes Is front roll bar bushes it's done 106k now it's good in the snow not used it for serious off roaring as it was far too nice a car to get beat up. Permant 4x4 is brilliant on patchy snow ice conditions in winter.
