Hello chaps just a post to see if any of you can say if this fault is connected to having a front passenger side wheel bearing recently replaced by Landrover (6 weeks ago) waiting to put Disco 3 in for a violent steering wheel vibration/wobble when braking at speeds over 30mph. I have read on searches on forum but leads to dozens of different possibilities. I do think the vibration feels like it is feeding from the same wheel that the bearing was replaced on and can feel slight knocking/bumping vibration coming from same area, you know when you can feel it through the pedal if you what I mean. All this can only be felt/heard when applying the brakes, aside from that drives great. Going to put back in to Landrover, but asking your opal ions beforehand, I don't want them saying it's something else but not let on it may be attributed by them replacing the bearing incorrectly, if you know what I mean.
Thanks for any input.
Steve.

I would Ged but I am in work next 4 days and work 2 mins away from Land Rover garage so can just put it in while in work, scary to drive when shaking while braking otherwise great drive. Hope they are honest if it's something they have cause fitting bearing, seen on searches on here that fitting bearing incorrectly can cause same symptoms....

Hi,
It may be worth checking your wheel nuts.

Being that the wheel bearings on a D3 come (as a lot of them do these days) as a complete ready to install unit, you do wonder what an earth can go wrong, but wheel bearing not done up to the right torque, brake caliper the same, as mentioned wheel nuts, area where the hub actually sits not cleaned enough causing the hub to unseat itself are only some of the things that can go wrong.
Let us know what it is please.
