+1 I'd like to know how it's progressing too?
I've been distracted building other things so haven't attacked my vitara yet.

Hi guys
The build is slow at the moment I have cut the body off the vitara and I'm currently measuring up patches to restore the floors a bit. I'm collecting the kit from Warrington on the 22nd and I need to do it in a day and get the trailer back so I don't get charged for two days hire.

Thanks for the update.
It'd be great if you could stick some pictures up as you go.
I'm seriously thinking about putting an order in for one myself, so it'd be nice to see how you progress

Ok the kit is collected 9 hours in the driving seat to get to Warrington and back. It looks really well made and Simeon couldn't have been more helpful if he'd tried, making up extra brackets and giving advice while I straped it down for the journey home. I'd love to put some pictures on here but have just read in the FAQ section that they need to be online and as i'm a techno idiot with a computer I havn't got round to this yet. It's a case of give me something with wheels and i'm comfortable but give me a pc and i'll use it to prop a door open on a windy day.

Good to hear that the collection went well.
Shame about the pics though, I was looking forward to them!
I'm arranging to go and view one in a couple of weeks, so my order is likely to be going in soon.

Looking good! What tyres and wheel sizes are they?
I'm not going to be getting this kit now. Been turbo'ing mine instead. (see Turbo Vitara thread in suzuki section.

Well it's pretty much done now and I've got it road worthy. Best bit is they said you keep so much of the original vehicle that I didn't even have to pay the registration fee they just adapt the v5 document for free. I'll sort photos soon.

Excellent! Photos please! Can't wait to see it.
How's it pulling on those tyres? Pretty meaty for a vitara.

It seems to manage the wheels OK but it's no racing car. It should improve slightly when I convert to diesel. I live in south Petherton between taunton and Yeovil. I think I may have spotted your vitara the other day on a roundabout somewhere. It's unique paint job is hard to miss.
Thanks for your interest.

yes I do see a few about, I have been to the dundry site a few time when it was open.
trouble is we either drive past one on the drive of a house or pass each other on the road!

Hi peeps I've now got a full 3" lift kit on the truck including lower arms and I seem to have an issue with the steering. When went to get the tracking done I noticed some play side to side on the driver's side wheel so I slipped underneath and got someone else to wiggle the wheel. I noticed that when shaking the driver's side wheel the passenger side wheel didn't move so I watched the linkage's for play but they're ok but they seem to rock and rotate slot due to the arms not being in a directly straight line across the car. Is there a way of correcting this? Or am I destined to live with wobbly front wheels that I can't get an accurate tracking measurement.
Many thanks
Matt

Wouldn't you have the play both sides if it was in the steering?
Did you have the wobble before the lift?
Did you use new bushes on the lower arms?
I think there's a little wobble on mine but managed to get decent results out of tracking adjustments. Did it myself using a tracking bar.
Only thought I had is if your +3" kit (springs or spacers?) is rated for a standard vitara and possibly spec'd for a winch bumper also you could be running alot less weight than they are designed for - which could increase the angle alot? Which might encourage your issue?

Thanks Rich I guess I'd better hurry up and get the turbo diesel engine fitted for a bit more nose weight.
When I get the chance I'll update the photo's on the computer and refresh the link so you can check out my progress.
