was watching a programe on sky recently about the malaysian rainforest challenge , there was a chap called clive raymont i think with a nice tidy little sj and was just wondering if he's on here or anyone know the truck spec? Razz

this one done it a few years ago and one its class if i remember, it was for sale buy btf fabriaction i think, up for around 5 k,

I typed it into Google Images and from that picture up came the thread in this forum, and the 'For Sale Advert' for the car.

was a few years ago now,clive owned a 4x4 garage in nuneaton. garage is closed now and ive not seen him for ages,was a local club menber.
sj had vauhall deisel engine if i remember correctly.

That's just sold on eBay again last week

Izuzu engine and arbs lockers I don't know much else about it

Brought it off ebay it's in good condition but it needs new crown wheel and pinion for rear diff can anybody help.

Was built by some company called tp or ta fabication or something.

allterain 4x4 moved years ago and the new site he moved to now is a supermarket.not sure what happened to him?

you would need to put the side gears from the rear diff into your new front diff,the rest is the same assuming the ratios are the same.

was built by a guy in hinkley called bruce for clive,another local club member,i popped in to bruces once or twice when he was building it.

this was at a challenge event at coney green,it first trial run after build i think in 2005.

If it has ARBs fitted it'll just be a case of swapping the crownwheel onto the ARB and fitting that, measure the backlash and pinion starting torque on the new diff before stripping it and make sure it's set back up to those specs.
