My new 92 Vitara

Hi all.

Been a few years from I was last on here, so thought I'd throw up a few pics of the new toy; 92 Vitara JLX SWB

The wee Vit is basically as I bought it from Liverpool, including the lift kit, body lift, wheels, winch bumper, external cage, snorkel etc.

Flew over and the seller collected me at the airport before taking me for the vehicle, and when I was heading to the ferry in Birkenhead to bring it home to not-so-sunny Northern Ireland, the clutch cable snapped. After a £100 recovery for the 18 mile journey, I got towed on to the boat and got her home in time for its first off road outing.

Put a new cable in and all was well (apart from the engine being hard to turn over with the clutch pressed so I knew there was an internal issue, though had no more time to sort it before the day out, so took my chances) until about 10 mins into the off road day where I lost the pedal again; this time the release bearing pushing through the centre of the pressure plate, rendering both scrap.

Anyway, I've a new 3 piece clutch kit on the way for it, and I'm looking to get it MOT'd in the next few weeks to get as much use out of it as I can, both on and off road.

New aggressive tyres, a winch and a few other small bits are in line to be bought, though that can wait until after the test.
