I'm after a bit of help and advice please.
I personally own a defender but I'm having trouble with a grand vitara tdi that won't start.
I'm an experienced mechanic but after a little help from someone that's hopefuly had this issue as its a new one to me.
So here it goes.
The car. 2002 grand vitara 2.0 tdi 8 v Peugeot engine
The car has had no issues until several days ago.
Started up went a couple of miles, forgot my keys and came back, switched the car of but left the lights on while I went and got my keys, came out and the car will not start.
Engine light on, heater plug light flashing.
Plugged in with my snap on solus and two codes came up p1517 coded anti start operation and p0380 heater plug relay.
The batter was a little low from the lights being on when not running so charged up and still the same.
Have a feeling the drop in voltage has lost the pairing of the key and transponder.
I have read that it's possible to remove a chip out the ecu is this the case.
Any help will be greatly appreciated
Thanks Robert
