Hi I have a 8v vit and just got a rotted 16v complete vit just wondering if there will be much point in putting the 16v engine as well?
What's the difference in power ect

I find the 16v to be much the same as the 8v at the bottom end, but its got a bit more oomph at the top end.

Well mines running on carb... got all the bits now to run microsquirt injection system, but its quite a bit of wiring.
Carb required a modified inlet manifold and modded distributor to work, and injection requires a lot of wiring, and also needs all of the injection related gubbins and wiring from a donor vehicle.

Well I'm goin from single point to multi point injection plus have the whole 16v car wouldn't of thought it would be that bad surly

No, should be fine if you have the whole vehicle.
However, you might need to sort out a few tricky bits such as the immobiliser ring around the ignition barrel, and the speed sensor (if it has one)

Personally I would speak to Rhinoman about getting the immo removed... it seems to usually be the point of failure with the Vitara ecu
