Yes the question rears its head again.
Im looking for the best possible tyres for the jimny at the moment and bfgs are pretty well priced and not a remold so appeal greaty.
The question is what kind of work is needed for them to fit on a standard jimny that only has a 1.5" lift? Its standard at the moment but is going to be lifted soon 1.5" so i need to know in both forms if they will run with nothing more than a bumper trim?
Thanks

The difference between new 195/80-15 and 215/75-15 tyres is only around 20mm width and diameter wise so not that much of a problem. Anything Insa is going to larger and wider due to it's remould construction,my only thought be to compare a new and remould 215/75-15 and see what the differences are likely to be to give you some idea of whether the clearance you have with you lift is enough.

Does a 195 80 go on with no hassle then even standard? Im in a toss up at the moment between insa sahara 215 75s and 195 80 kuhmo kl71s, on offset rims.

There is only 20mm or so difference in diameter between a 205/70-15 (681mm) and a 195/80-15 (705mm).Due to the fact that the standard dampers and springs offer fairly limited travel 195/80-15 is about as big as you can go with standard suspension.

Hmmm limited options then sadly ey,. I want a 2" lift this year but was hoping i could find a compromise tyre wise bigger than standard.
Would 2' even help much fitting 215s then?
