Twice in the past year I've been in a certain large supermarket chain's store local to me.
After collecting a trolley I've gone to their storage section and picked up one of their large 80litre clear/white bins with a lid, the ones which are ideal for storing stuff in the boot of your car or garage.
After completing my shopping, I've headed off to the checkout tills. When the checkout girl has asked me if I want any bags I've replied that I've got the bin for that purpose. OK, comes the reply, as she passes the bin down to the bagging area without scanning it... Very Happy

Well, who am I go argue with the staff? Afterall, every little helps... Wink

Love it! Someone I knew used to go to the reading glasses carousel try on a new pair, leave their old ones on the carousel and walk out. Once they put their old ones on their forehead and the new ones on their nose and go through the checkout.

Something like this nearly happened to me many years ago in Mothercare when trying out a new pushchair for the baby (who is now 6' 6") but fortunately we realised in time that we were actually buying it.

I know we all make mistakes where we can inadvertantly walk out of shops without paying for goods, but surely once we realise that we, albeit innocently, have technically committed theft then we go back to the shop and pay for it. We do don't we?

That depends if your the sort of person that likes to be honest or likes to feel that you've got one over on someone.
