I've got an sj fitted with a vitara 1600 8v.
Stopped on me this afternoon and now I can't get it to go. There seems to be no spark. I've changed coil for one I had on another car ( so I knew it was working) but still no spark.
To me the only other part to go wrong could be inside dizzy? Electronic ignition?
If Anyone could shed some light on the situation I would appreciate it.

Does it have a crank shaft sensor or distributor?? Check crankshaft sensor is correctly plunged in and sending a signal to ECU, cdi??
Or clean distributor check ht lead for resistance and good connections

Make sure the ht leads are all connected and no breaks test continuity. Make sure distributor is spinning and clean. could have an actuator on it?? Not sure what they do but doubt it would stop a spark

I've ordered plugs leads dizzy cap and coil as it's been stood for a while so I'll do that out of principle and see what happens. I've checked all earths too with no avail.
