Ok i want to to fit a pug 1.9TD engine in my new project, i need a Polonez FSO or Pug 504 gear box, LDV Pilot are to low on gearing for what i want as it will be road and off road. If i want lower gear i will use a rocklobster etc as using SJ running gear for the T box down.
I am thinking on getting a gear box that will do, from what ever car and mating it upto the XUD engine, is it a job of getting a gear box where the clutch plate and fly wheel are the closets match and also the spigot bearing, can get one made eay enough, then make an adaptor plate?
And i dont want to spend the hundreds of pounds on the already available adaptor plates like from Rhino ray, price is not justifiable.
It sounds easy but i know it isnt, so looking at what i would need to do.
oh and all best
wolly
