When I did my LJ axle I found a company in the US who made brackets but they wouldn't ship them abroad for some reason, so I made my own brackets for LJ front calipers and used an X-Eng trans brake.

Don't think they make toyota x-brake any more though so might have to make your brackets for calipers within integrated cable handbrake . I think vw transporter calipers are often used.

found the name of 'that US company'.

SKY manufacturing. the design simple enough, held to the axle on 3 bolt holes and positions the caliper correctly for the discs.

forgot to say, I used LJ front discs, and turned down the wheel flanges very slightly so the discs fit over.
sky manufacturing setup

sorry the pic is so big...

Like Gaflad, I also used MGF calipers and made brackets out of 6 and 10mm plate. The required offset (from the 6mm thk. bracket bolted to axle) was 20mm hence the two bits of 10mm plate.
The disks are solid fronts with the centre hole machines out (by a friend) to suit the rear axle. This photo was taken during 1st mock-up of the entire chassis so not fully complete. Unfortunately despite being done 4 years ago it's not been touched since. I'm unable to therefore tell you if it was a success (or not)
I now have large workshop under construction so......one day!

Note position of handbrake cable mount - I'll have to either bend down a bit or adjust caliper orientation to avoid clash with chassis on full compression - check before you finish!
