|

Hi all was wondering if anyone can shed some light on this. I've just fitted a 2" lift and HD transfer box mounts from KAP along with some 235/75 15 muds on my 2002 Jimny and now when I try select 4L it's stiff to engage and doesn't feel like it's locked in properly and jumps out into 4H again when driving off road. Anyone had this before?

sounds like something is interfering with the selction lever if its manual and not ****** electronical one like in the newer jimnys..
if so, then i would have a look to see if the body is interfreing with it and adjust the hole accordingly.

I had range change problems on my sj, the plunger on the 4wd switch had broken off and was in selector track.

Indeed the hight does Effect the transfer gears , my samurai had the same issue the selector stick boot was in fact putting pressure on the leaver taking it out of gear . Quick solution undo boot and a more perm solution get another selector stick and forge a new one up bending/ shaping it for your new setup.
