Morning folks,

My involvement with Lifesavers Scotland has reached the point where I'm putting my own car on service (for me only to drive) and I'm therefore having to fit it out with blue lights and siren. The thing is I do not want to be driving around day to day looking like more of a fanny than I already do Laughing

I've been offered 4 x blue/red LED grille lights for a very good price, 2 for the rear facing side windows and 2 for behind the grille (obviously not using the red lights) but I also have to show blue lights to the sides and it seems that the simplest way is to fit one or perhaps 2 light mid sized light bars on roof bars. The signage is simple; 4 x magnetic signs on the doors, 1 for the bonnet and a spare wheel cover.

I have a rather limited budget but still need to be able to light the car up light a xmas tree when needed so I'm canvassing ideas for lights, light bars and roof mounting. ALL the lights I'm looking at are white until lit so under normal circumstances the car looks like a works wagon.

Ideas, offers of roof bars (or roof rack that I can fix up), lights etc for donating to Lifesavers .....

It appears that the little round LED lights found on the bottom of most house burglar alarm boxes are 12v, but how they would take continuous 14.5v I'm not sure.
I've got a blue one glued to a magnet somewhere in the shed I used to use when I was with SJA that coped the few times I used it.
