Hi

I recently replaced the headlamps on my Daihatsu Fourtrak Independent with the Crystal Halogen upgrade kit to try. I'm now considering the HID kits but am confused by all the different kits available and the variation in prices. I have checked about MOT/legality issues when I got the new headlamps re-aligned (friend of a friend at MOT station) and was told they don't concern themselves with them when testing. Has anyone done this, got any advice etc.
Thanks
Mark

They are fine, easy to install. get 35w, 6000k and make sure they are aligned properly and you won't blind anyone.

This are some of the kits I've been looking at

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Generic-Xenon-Headlight-Conversion-Halogen/dp/B00DQO8OH8/ref=sr_1_17?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1408012578&sr=1-17&keywords=hid+conversion+kits

http://www.amazon.co.uk/HI-LOW-Xenon-Headlamp-Conversion-Advanced/dp/B002RLGY7S/ref=pd_cp_auto_1#productDetails

http://www.amazon.co.uk/QUALITY-6000K-MONTH-WARRANTY-SELLER/dp/B00DP8XDEY/ref=sr_1_5?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1408012578&sr=1-5&keywords=hid+conversion+kits

http://www.amazon.co.uk/NuoYa005-Bright-Lights-Conversion-Headlight/dp/B00K5MZD78/ref=sr_1_40?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1408013988&sr=1-40&keywords=hid+conversion+kits

From what I understand 4300K would give me more light to see by which is what I'm after rather than the look. By the way they are all Amazon links because I've a load of gift vouchers to use Smile

Remember the k value refers to the temperature or colour of the light. There is a huge difference in the visibility with different temperatures.

I had HID's on my BMW GS motorbike and they were great but IIRC you need to have headlight washers on cars fitted with HIDs. This may not be an MOT failure but you could still be booked for it, in theory.
