LED v Halogen it's very difficult to compare ......
The reflector design always looks different on LED lamps, small LED replacement bulbs seem to work ok but bigger stuff doesn't match halogen.
I've fitted loads of quality LED lights on mobile plant and the vast majority of the drivers love them and they last well.
The light output is not as harsh but seems to illuminate more if that's makes any sense

Are 100w legal for road use? Won't they turn your wiring loom into a heater element ?

It will be a new circuit for front spot lights, my dad gave me a set and it looks like I can fit a hid kit with a little bit of modification, should be super bright, and won't cost the £150+ for off the shelf hid spots
