I assume the electric fan in front of the radiator is the aircon cooling fan for the condenser.
It is running all the time, even though I never run the aircon (it needs regassing since 2008...). Shouldn't it run only when the aircon is on?
Anyway the thing is becoming really noisy and I was wondering why I can't just disconnect it (or remove it altogether) at least until the aircon is re-gassed?

not sure about the fan but it would be a good idea to remove the compressor drive belt if this has not already been done,
