back to engines...recently fitted a Nissand TD32 to a Land Rover Discovery. pretty straightforward, just fabricate the bell housing. nice compact engine that...not sure how its driving yet...should be taking it out at the weekend.

Had a go in an autro Range Rover Classic with a Mazda sl35 engine
under the bonnet loads of grunt and a very straight forward conversion
might be worth a bit of research

I've just addapted the standard Landrover suspension modified the axles to fit, front and rear dislocation cones, +5"Terrafirma shocks - double shocks on the front and HD springs and damper, they're gettin fairly strict on vehicle testing over here so I couldn't go mad, I'm no suspension guru so I didn't go 4 link (antisquat and antidive had my head melted)
Other progress, I have a small bit of welding on the back of the chassis, then its rebuild time, I'm still doin the doors, got a set from a burnt out 08 puma that got roasted but with new skins and hinges they'll be good as new

It's been over a year (holy ****) but I'm still plugging away.
I've done quite a bit in the last 3 weeks. Tried to get her ready
for an annual car show we have over here (http://www.irishjagclub.ie/terenure-car-show/)
We worked like lunatics til 2:00am the morning of the show
and she wouldn't fit on the damn car transporter - 2" a side
too wide with the smaller tyres on - gutted was not the word.
Anyway the engine runs, you can't beat the sound
of a V8 in the morning. All the body is painted, rear and front
prop shafts fabbed and fitted new Disco seats fitted brakes done
(Deal on the Daf air brakes fell thru so made all the pipes and
fittings bigger to suit the Mog cylinders, she'll get air brakes
eventually. Also made up some Extra wide wheel arches they
need a bit of tarting up but they'll look the business.
So there you have it. Our club is having a camping weekend this
Weekend so the plan is to get her down there for the first test drive
Aka see what breaks on full articulation.
