On my 1999 TD5 the throttle pedal is lazy, 1" of travel before the revs increase.
So, I got it plugged into an Autologic box(Thanks - You know who you are) and as soon as the pedal is press the volts(?) on the display change but the revs don't change,
On seeing this, the pedal is doing its job? but the ECU appears to slow in responding to the changes.
Any thoughts?
By the sounds of it I don't need to buy a new pedal, I just need the ECU poking into life so the response is quicker...?

Sounds like that's the problem but I don't know enough to provide the solution

Would getting a remap not work to provide a faster throttle response from the ecu

I don't know much about the new electricy stuff but it seems like a fair bet that It could work.

TD5s are drive by wire so it might just be the sensor (not the right name) that is faulty , but not broken?

does it have a dual "track" on the electronic part of the pedal, like the fords do?

I think they have 3 tracks or at least more than one!

Sorry don't know about TD5's (I have a 300 TDi) but I used to work for Renault UK. Renaults as did many other vehicle manufacturers use a potentiometer to send a signal to the ECU to reflect throttle pedal positions - each position, say IDLE, MID THROTTLE and FULL THROTTLE had to have each position validated so the ECU recognised where the pedal position was.

It could be a validation issue rather than a faulty ECU.
