I'm trying to work out if I can drive down a road or not, and I've come unstuck.

It is listed on Trailwise as SU4429-02, near to SU 449 298. Starting at the westerly point, there is a tarmac section "Landham lane" which is marked in purple on trailwise. After a few homes it turns to dirt and then mud, and this section is not differentiated by trailwise until a junction later on, where a BOAT goes southeast and a bridleway goes northeast.

I went to look at it earlier in my road car and as I was leaving a local in a landie arrived home. He asked if I had tried to go through as "I would be surprised how many people they have to rescue trying to get through" in road cars. I said I was lost but turned round when I saw the dirt. He was very amiable.

The only sign is at the start of the road - a 'dead end' sign.

I'm interested because it is near to my office and I'm about to get my 4x4 on the road, this might be a good lane to take a couple of interested colleagues down. It's probably only 400m long.

Thanks

Thanks. I'll seek another one then.
