The misses has finally decided to get rid of our joint car in favour of 2 separates. This means I will have about £1k to get a small 4x4 for taking the dog(s) out (got a husky & possibly will be taking in a rescue in next few weeks), the odd camping trip & some green laning/pay & play days
It seems for a mix of cost, reliability & off road ability these are my 2 options (I looked at the shogun SWB but cant stretch the cost) just wondering opinions on both, I'm not expecting speed or the comfort of a car (driven defenders & old rangers at work) but as a general use vehicle which would you rate. Planning to keep it simple take out the back seats in favour of a dog guard & rubber floor, 2" lift & some decent tyres then change front bumper at a later date
Thanks

Welcome to the forum.
Simple really,
which ever you can find that is the best for the money,
Maybe already done with what you want to do.
Check some out, see which you prefer and get that one.
Go at them with an open mind and see what you are comfortable in.

Hi mate, thanks for the welcome.
Yeah I am keeping open minded and have been researching as much as I can. I've heard the fourtraks are more agricultural similar to a defender where as the vitara is fairly lightweight and slightly more car like. I am also considering that the four is capable of towing a decent weight which although not often may come in handy. I will keep looking at classifieds while we're waiting for ours to sale to see what's about
Cheers
