1987 range rover v8 classic exhaust mods

just collected my range rover v8 classic
noticed its got the twin outlet rear exhaust box
thinking of removing rear box and running straight pipe or pipes out to the back
either that or side exit
anyone modded the rear box on this model
want that pure v8 sound

I ran mine like that for a while and it sounded ok. It's currently got a straight pipe with no boxes and it's painfully noisy. I have a stainless exhaust to put on when I get around to it.

had a look underneath today
single pipe to rear box with twin outlets
want to take off rear box and put a 90 degree pipe on to go side exit
looks straight forward
any pictures appreciated

I did that with flexi pipe until the middle box broke off too. Someone on here said there's a kit to do exactly that on eBay.

i have a side exit on my rangie, little center box and flexi pipe over the rear axle and out the side, I tacked welded a clamp on the chassis to hold the pipe, sounds good, not to much around town but when giving it some it dose come up on song
