I have been thinking for a long time about cutting the air dam off of the bottom of my 2000/1 XJ cherokee I do not often go on the motorway so I do not think it will affect the handling and I think it looks better without having it on.
My question is has anyone removed theres and if so how dose it affect going through water it seems to me that having it must make the bow wave bigger not god but having said that would it help to keep water from doing up in the engine compartment.
I forgot to put this link with pics.

just get rid of it if you don't like it, will make no difference to handling etc

Chop it off. Fit front skid plate. Job done.
