I don't think DOS has run anything since the demise of Windows 95. The command window doesn't run DOS anymore.

ME I'm afraid. After that the NT kernel was used.

That application isn't dos though.

I'm definitely a DOS baby, I use the hotkeys wherever possible. AFAIAC the best thing about windows is alt-tab switching and everything else is window dressing.

I still have a Win 95 PC for running old DOS programmes. All the freebie software that can be used on the 16-bit Suzuki ECUs was written in DOS, I'm gradually writing Windows apps to replace them but I won't be retiring that PC for some time.

You can still open the command window in windows 7 which gives you access to DOS commands.

I still have a laptop running 95 too for old software


Was windows 98 still running in DOS?
