The P38 has been losing power and economy when running on LPG over several months now.

I contacted a local installer recommended by the supplier of my system.

They have recommended that the diaphragms in the vaporiser (it’s a twin type on a Bigas system ).

They say that a fault at the Immingham distribution centre had resulted in the contamination of a batch of LPG by adding x3 the amount of lubricating oils.

This contamination results in a tar like build up in the vaporiser ruining the tune.

The net result is that over the last two months they have replaced over 200 vaporiser diaphragms in the Prins systems they have previously installed.

Has anyone else come across this issue?

So far all I have is the comments from the installer.
No proof yet and no official admission from the LPG supplier.
Just wondered if anyone had any information or had similar issues.
Symptoms :-
Drop in power, noticeable drop in MPG, poor acceleration when tank nearing empty.

Send a letter and an Email to the Distributor of the LPG requesting information on the details of any faulty fuel they supplied.
Or just ask if there was a problem with their fuel.
& did customers end up buying this contaminated fuel.

If they reply by phone, ask them to confirm and reply in writing,

Also contact your Local Trading Standards, start an official Notification, and raise a case with them,
if there turns out that there was a Fuel Problem.
Or they are not going to talk to you about it.

Name the Installer that gave you the information in the Letter to the LPG Distributor. They are saying they have replaced parts on 200 systems so they have no need to be shy.
**Its online now anyway and this thread comes up if anyone does a search engine keyword search (google).**
the likes of, total, lpg, immingham, distribution, contaminated, contamination

Then you will get the true facts and know what action to take from there if there is truth behind the Faulty LPG having been sold to customers and causing damage.

You will be able to persue Compensation for damage done and the Repairs required.

EDIT.
A Google shows that indeed there was a problem with the LPG Distributed from Immingham.

Idea
If you can prove purchase, with receipts, card or bank statements then surely it will be straightforward to get your expenses for any actions you need to rectify problems that resulted from their error.

Complete utter ********! There isn't any oil in lpg what so ever if this was the case then you wouldn't need to fit valve lubrication systems to the likes of your jag powered land rovers or jap engine cars that have soft valve seats,
It's not often you have the replace the diaphragms, prins vaporises are usually pretty good, the tar like build it is from where the gas turns to a liquid state to a gas state when it's heated. I guarantee that any vaporiser you take apart it will have this tar like build it, I would be looking at the front solenoid and see if there's a filter in there that's blocked, and check the delivery pressure to the injectors when the tank is full and near empty,
