This is really directed at Richard if he's around.
I've been pondering what to do for rear body insulation, i want both sound and heat insulation. I know Richard you experimented with expanding foam. Did that work out ok - did it trap water/prevent ventilation?
Was it difficult to apply? How?
Did it do much for sound deadening, i imaging as it bonds to the panels it would do.
My other alternative is to use rockwool/foil, but i imagine that not to be as good a sound deadener.

I used the kind of insulation used in narrowboats which came in large drums with a sprayer unit. It was quite easy to apply considering the lack of space to move around but I had to be incredibly careful not to get sprayed myself. It is specifically designed to be moisture resistant and last I heard it was still working perfectly.

Did it work as intended? Not sure. It certainly reduced drumming and noise on the move but it did little for temperature regulation as a camper without using a small heater to help. The internal wood panelling certainly did not go nasty as long as it was kept properly ventilated whilst stored (I used a 20' container).

It cost me over £350 about 8 or so years ago including the panelling. I suspect rockwool would have been cheaper and just as effective.

as I said, not cheap but very good and designed for purpose.

Thanks Richard
It looks pretty good stuff. That kit says its good for 55 m2, surely thats way more than need for one truck?
Did you do the roof as well, i.e. can i be sprayed above?
