It OK I haven't gone mad and bought a pony!
Just spotted a field for sale local to me and it has stables and several buildings
Now I was thinking the land would be great fun for the kids and the sheds- I'm sure you know what I would be doing with them, after all a man can never have too much stuff!
Anyway my question is what do the horsey people pay to put there animal in a stable and have a paddock to use....?
The ground is about 7acres so the horses wouldn't need all of it and I would have a play area

on the farm where I work the horsey folk pay 60 per month for a stable and turn out. aswell as having to buy all there feed through the farm ie bales of hay and straw. obviously you wouldn't be producing any of these but there is some great profit in it if you can be bothered sourcing it.

I rent 7 acres to some horsey people for £120 a month they are responsible for all maintenance etc. I understand this may be a little on the cheap side for our area but they are very good tenants. In the past I have had some appalling tenants.

A friend of mine has 2 horses and pays over £9,000 per year for full livery. She is considering renting part of my field and including building stables (needs Planning consent HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA) and rent of £1,500 per year (£120pm) she would be in profit in a few months.
To be honest I'd just be happy to see the field being used.
BTW be careful about having a play area for the 4x4s, it can leave you wide open to attack from **** hole neighbours.

It can vary depending on where you are in the country and the facilities available.
If it purely a field and a stable then expect to pay between £60 and £80 per acre.
If it comes with a tack room, school etc then anywhere between £80 and £200 per month.
based on that, 7 acre field including stables I would imagine to be £500-£700 a month

lots of people run businesses like that all the time and pay themselves a large salary i think? - then wonder why they cant borrow money
