|
|
|
SUNDAY MAY 5TH
Registration fron 9am for 10am start.
Start line address: The White Horse, Redbourn Lane, Herts AL5 2JP
The treasure hunt is a driving challenge, in and around the beautiful Hertfordshire Countryside.
At Team Chaos we raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support and every penny raised/donated goes to the charity (we take nothing for expenses).
Our treasure hunts are a fun filled driving event testing your navigational skills and observation, we have had great feed back from all our previous events and we hope to keep them growing and growing. All you need is a road legal vehicle, a driver and a navigator. We will supply the rest.
This is not a race or a rally, it's simply good fun in a Sunday whilst raising money for a wonderful charity who no doubt have helped all of us be it directly or indirectly.
The cost of entry is £15 per vehicle, with up to 4 occupants (children under 15ys free) any extras we ask for a donation.
The start and finish is at the White Horse in Harpenden. Oh and just to entice you all, they have a beer festival on that day so lots of refreshments to sample once you have finished (please please please make sure you have a designated driver though if you are going to sample the produce available).
Lets raise some money before raising a glass.
Please share this with your friends.
There will be prizes (dependant on what we can get donated) also if this invite reaches famous people and you feel you could help with this event then please contact me on here or via our Team Chaos FB page. https://www.facebook.com/teamchaos4x4?ref=hl
Many, many thanks
Colin B

Obviously I can't make it but I'll stump up the entry fee anyway

Hi All,
just a quick reminder that the Team Chaos Treasure Hunt is only just over 1 week away. The bonus is that the event finishes at the pub where my son works and there just happens to be a beer festival that day AND the following day is BANK Holiday Monday so no work either...win, win, situation.
Please please please try to come along and support this worthy cause. If you cannot come along please let everyone know as we really want to raise some serious money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
As always, all monies to Macmillan.
Many thanks
Colin B

So the Team Chaos Treasure Hunt is tomorrow morning, lots of work has gone into planning this event so please come along and support a worthwhile cause. We do not take any money for expenses, you donate £1 the Macmillan Get £1 + gift aid.
So dont waste the day sitting in front of the TV, come along and do something worthwhile, its going to be fun and you may even win a trophy. The added bonus is there is a beer festival at The White Horse afterwards. It is also a bank holiday on monday as well. So come on, help others who are less fortunate than us.
Best wishes
Colin B & Tom Hyde

And the hunt is now over. Thank you to all who took part and helped us to raise well in excess of £360 + promised online donations etc.. Fantastic effort by all. Must find out where to get rid of all the poo that was collected en route
Thank you also to Michael and the Staff at the White Horse for their hospitality and for allowing us to use their premesis as our base.
Thank you also to Maria Batchelor & Tom Hyde for all of their hard work.
For those of you that couldnt make it for various reasons we will be running another hunt later in the year.
Best wishes & thank you all for your support
Colin & Tom

You can tell the young man that I did indeed check the towball and found his 'present' It was a great day and I am still chuffed at how well it all went. We could not have had better weather and the entrants all took it in the spirit it was intended. I have already started on ideas for another one
The beer festival at Michaels place was a perfect way to finish the day, I am sooooo chuffed at the whole thing.
Thank you for coming along and taking part, it was great to see you all, and please pass on my thanks to your passengers.
Colin
ps, you know the bloke who started and we never saw him after the start line? Well I heard from him last night, his dog started having the squits in his new car, thats why he had to give up..eeeeeeewwwwwwwww
