| i have broke the rear diff on my 1995 jeep cherokee xj by broke i mean smashed all the spider gears together. i have a spare front axle for same as what is on the jeep now and was just wondering if they are a like for like swap?

Nope, front and rear diffs are different.
Throw an auto locker in there. Aussie, Spartan, Lockrite....

I can sell you a Spartan locker.
Was it a factory limited slip diff or an open diff you broke??
If it was open then you can just chuck a locker in but if it was the limited slip you will need an open carrier to mount it all into. Not a problem other than the £80-90 to buy a new one.
I can supply them as well aand also an overhaul kit with all the new bearings and seals. It just depends on how much you want to spoend compared to just buying a second hand axle...

Will get the exact price when i am back in the office on Tuesday but they are about ( just under I think ) £300 inc vat and delivery.....
