Hi guys
Ive got some flood lights on the back of my landy which i use as reverse lights (passes MOT fine) but ive recently got a carling 3 way switch and want to be able to turn them ; on completely, off , on with reverse. IM having real troubles getting them to work, attached is the diagram i am using, where it says 12v from reverse lights coming off the switch, ive got a feed from the reverse switch on the back of the gearbox, correct?

Thanks a lot
gilly

The diagram is wrong. The feed to the relay should go to the common terminal of the switch, which, in most cases, is the centre terminal of the switch.

With the feed from the battery on one normally open contact (when off) and the feed from the gearbox switch to the other one - this will give the effect that you want
