Hi Folks,
Thought I better put some photos of my build up here as I keep asking for info to help with it.

Started out as a 1985 110. At some point it was stretched to 127".

I have fitted a 200tdi engine and converted it to a truck cab.

I also sourced a rapier back body to use a a basis for a camper body.

Its ongoing and I'm busy collecting parts to allow me to get 'stuck in' to a ground a rebuild of the base vehicle then a revised camper body will probably follow.

Cheers

Cheers Damian,

Another quick one of how it looks today, complete with old gaffer tape that has been stuck to it by the workshop boys over the months!

I love it Cool Its got a good feel for a good fun motor!

I'm just fitting a Lockgate Reflcks stove in my BT transit boxvan. I thought I'd give it a recomendation to you, as it runs on diesel, lights with match, has a hot plate for cooking/tea, and can have a coil for water heating. Its like the landrover' of the caravan/boat heating world Very Happy The main atraction for me was that its near silenence. I just cannot sleep with the Eberspacher running Confused

Cheers for that.
Got a Eberspacher D3LC awaiting a rebuild to fit into it but those stoves look very nice!

Have been camping with a few mates in it and in its current layout can sleep 4 easily. The roof is a pop up.

However, we obviously need to braing a second car with us to carry anyone else. Or make forward facing seats in the rear and some windows.

Just as I was looking into making it a crew cab I got an offer of a free Station Wagon body so I took it as fate that it should be a crew cab.

So it means 2 options:
1: rework existing body to fit a crew cab. (interior is unfinished so not too big a deal)
2: sell existing body and build a new one. (My work builds ambulances and box bodies so can get one at cost from our supplier!)

Will sort out the base vehicle rebuild first then decide on the body when i see what funds I have.

I was thinking 'tempramental but functional' Very Happy

Erber D3 is still in there for those times I need instant heat. I did remove it, but together they make a nice package. Quick warmth is:- turn on both gas hobbs, turn on eber and begin lighting refleks. Once lid is back on the refleks the gas hobbs can go off as erber is warmed up. Then turn off erber when reflecs has got going and can make tea/soup Very Happy So they all compliment and act as redundancy for each other Smile

How is the camper project going? Did you ever finish it?

It looks very promising in the photographs and it would be good to see some updates on any progress!
