After a small trailer for camping taking stuff to tip etc.
Are all the main brands similar, Daraxar, Erde, Brenderup Indespension buddy, caddy ect. Or are some better than others?
After at least a 3x4ft may consider a 3x5. I need to be able to storeit on end and more importantly be able to put it on end and carry it through my narrow side gate, I could manage 100kg much more might start to be a pain in the ass.
I notice the smaller erde trailers have 8-10" wheels and the Brenderup has 13" wheels I assume this is an advantage?
Any advise welcome im looking to pick one up second hand.

Fasten four castors to it so its easier to move.
My mates selling his but Liverpools a long way fro you
The Erdes ets being galv are good if stored outside.
I like the angle iron and ply wood type but they are a lot heavier
I am half way through making this

Having sold all of the above, at some stage or another, I can tell you:
Daxara and Erde are made by the same company, in the same factory (Erde). The 'Daxara' name was for Indespension's branding purposes.
The 'Buddy' range are lightweight and again, from Indespension.
I don't think the Caddy range is made anymore.
Brenderup are a much more solid bit of kit than any of the above. If I was going to choose one of the trailers you listed, then the Brenderup would be the one.
However.... (there's always a caveat emptor, isn't there? lol)..
The Brenderup will be much heavier than the others, you may not be able to store it up on end and with 13" wheels, it will be much deeper than the others (fitting through the gate option).
So if I was you and not me, with the parameters you put in place, I'd buy a Daxara 127, or equivalent Erde. Should be cheap, lightweight, available spares, multitude of upgrades, narrow enough to fit through a gate and is able to store up on end.
Hope that helps? All the best

thanks trailer guy, very detailed reply.
Iv been favouring the idea of the erde/daxara 122 or 142 with its 10" wheels.
Il need to go and have a look and see which ones I can lift, I need to take it through a gate on end or side that would be the on a skateboard or the like.
As you say the parts for them is a plus, Halfords even ebay.
Just noticed brenderup are made by thule no surprise they are good quality I swear by thule roof bars.
The buddy 2 looks good value for money is it as good as the erde/daxara?

No probs.
The buddy's ok. They're all much of a muchness tbh, pressed sheet steel etc. Although I'd say the Daxara was the better of all three - they have gas shocks/dampers as well as suspension and the larger models are twin skinned, making them more robust.
Whichever you choose - have a look in to the availability of upgrades and spares etc. There are some things available (lockable hard tops for instance) for some models, but not for others.

Managed to pick up an erde 122 with extended hight cover (not hardtop) and spare wheel second hand from gumtree only 5 mins down the road.
Quite pleased with it about as big as I could manage to get throgh the gate on my own! Even fits in my shed so that's a bonus.
Trailer Guy,
What's the benifit of the shock absorbers? I see them avalible online.
I thought rubber suspension was self dampening? Are these only a benifit if you loading the trailer quite heavy? Will they make much difference?
My camping kit not too heavy.
Simon
