In the lounge there's a thread asking which vehicle where there have been several posts removed to keep it in line with the op, my last post was removed also granted I did say something about being treated like we're naughty but also on that post was my best wishes and some advice on keeping a phone charger and other items in the car.
Just needed to say this is getting beyond a joke there was nothing upsetting or aimed at hurting anyone or racist sexist or from as far as I could make out or any other ist, apart from landroverist which a lot of people are.
Do we really need to be moderated at this level?
Ta for reading

Several members complained that the thread had strayed too far off topic in what was a thread with very serious question.
Whilst it would have been possible for the Mod to go in and edit individual posts it was probably easier to remove all the ones that were deemed to be off topic.
Feel free to re-post your best wishes without the off-topic comments.

As Ian says, re-post your good wishes.
When there are threads or posts that require removal Moderators do not delete them but move them to an area where they can only be seen by Mods and Admins. This allows splitting and discussion before returning them if possible. We can't do that with individual posts without permanently deleting comments.
To be fair, this kind of moderating is done very very seldom indeed.

There is less moderation in here than any other forum I know which is why I like it...
...we police ourselves with common sense.
Sometimes some posts may get caught up in a little clean up but we should realise that that is an unfortunate side effect. I should know as I've both crossed the line and been caught in the crossfire!
