Any ideas who makes these and what the conversion is for them?

There was a rear wheel steer SJ based Blitz that used two fron axles and had FWH on the rear. There may be something in the US for Motorhome towed Suzukis.

| that is an interesting idea it would give us the of option front rear or all wheel drive front would be better handling in the wet but not so much fun.

i was thinking more "i have screwed the rear differential/shaft/etc " and can at least get somewhere in fwd..
failing that i can unlock all the hubs and save myself 10mpg in fuel

if you've smashed a shaft or diff then fwh still aint gona be any use.
just leave it in 4x4 and drive home.....
if you smash a shaft then you wont get any wind up anyway unless its the diffs welded, in which case just drive it home in 2wd on the one good shaft,
or if it's the diff you broke then even if you unlock the hubs your still spinning the diff through the prop shaft if you use it in 4x4. but then again it's screwed anyway and not providing drive (else it wouldnt be broken) so you STILL wont get any wind up.

I was thinking of this when i eventually get RS fully floaters - I have a locked diff and thought of this so I could unlock one side on the road, not thougt all implications through re this like - good idea - bad idea? poss probs?

unlocking one side on a welded diff is lethal on the road
acelerate and you get thrown one way
decelerate and get thrown the other
