I am hoping to lift my o4 cherokee crd at 3" for tyre clearance, to get some descent boots on.

Has anyone fitted a lift kit?

It has been suggested to simply put heavy duty springs on..from the US. Where can i get them here ?

I did not think they did a lift for the CRD, just the petrol ones

you could be correct i have looked all over..whats the diffrence in the petrol & diesel suspension on the cherokee/liberty 2001-04 please.

I would not go for heavy duty springs yes they will lift it but the ride is not that comfortable on my XJ you really need longer springs not stiffer ones.

exactly, i do not want too compromise the std set up,i need comfort ride... i just need ground clearance, with bigger 255/75x16 boots on to help also..Dam jeep is too low for the N Yorks moors. I can live with the rest of it ! Very Happy

I sussed a 1.5" lift kit but, thats neither here or there 2.5 will be better without any pipe & other adjustments.. Smile

I still reckon you are going to struggle with those front strut / coil spacers on the dieselk model as the struts are completely different to the petrol models.

I would stop searcjing in the States and start to look in Australia if I was you - RHD and diesel. Do OME do anything that Arbil could importt for you??

Don't like the look of their prices though!!!

I have asked the Liberty lift question many times of Rough Country and there answer is a simple one - not anywhere near enough diesel Jeeps of any sort in the US for them to bother making a kit for them.

some are crazy prices,over the pond for some ..& dont look too much to machine/ fabricate from nylon or something similar with someone with a small work shop..

If you KNOW what you are doing then you could fabricate your own lift, if you don't - then don't try.

Australia have them , reasonable price too. only thing is postage £150 !!

in total springs,dampers & bump kit £390 ish ..Then fit
