Can we add this info to the stickies? The link in the section is dead.
I've trawled the internets Suzuki forums searched through all the BS and FINALLY found the info for these Mercedes Steering arms!
They are actually called steering arms and are fitted to the 126 Chassis which covers these models :
Model numbers in BOLD
Part 11 on this picture (they are handed left and right)
These are the Mercedes part no's
STEERING ARM LEFT - A1163321620
STEERING ARM RIGHT - A1163321720
http://partscatalog.ru/mercedes/1/car/126/032/2...26.032/287/33/030
This is one fitted on a Suzuki, it bolts to the caliper holes but needs slightly drilled out to fit and longer bolt fitted.
The new bolts need to be :
M12 x 1.25 x 50
M12 x 1.25 x 60
They are different lengths, you will need one of each for either calliper
I ordered my steering arms from www.mercman.net £10 each plus VAT
The guys there know all about them and that they are used for modifying Suzuki's etc and they are also the cheapest I found anywhere
p.s.
the standard Suzuki balljoints have a slightly different taper to the Merc ones, ok if you are just doing it on an offroader but if you use your Suzuki on the road I would make up the steering bars with the proper Merc balljoints
