I will say that the baileigh notcher is one sturdy mofo! Easy to use and chopped a nice clean offset hole on my first go.
I have 10 m22 Rose joints sitting in the hall, got aload of round bar coming and an m22 tap. Would have much preferred johnny joints or creeper joints but I've bought every thing I need to make front and rear links for waaaaay under half the amount of joints I would have needed........does that make sence? To do a front 4link and build new rear arms would have been circa £1000 in joints, bungs, spacers, steel and bolts. CDS should be arriving next week Very Happy

DO I DARE SAY PROGRESS? (CAPS IS STUCK ON MY KEYBORD BTW)

FRONT IS A 4LINK SET UP WITH CREEPER JOINTS AT EACH END ON THE LOWER LINKS WITH 50X6.3 CDS, UPPERS ARE CREEPER JOINT AT THE AXLE END AND THE LANDROVER RAIDIUS ARM "PIN" MOUNT AT THE CHASSIS END WITH THE SAME 50x6.3 TUBE, USING THE ORIGIONAL MOUNT. ALL THE TABS ARE 6MM THICK AND THE WELDER HAS BEEN SET TO NUCLEAR ASSULT!

NEW CROSS MEMBER IS 80X80X3 PLATES AT EACH END ARE 6MM THICK AND I HAVE DOUBLE PASSED THE WELDS AT EACH END..........THEN SORTED THE DISTORTION WITH A 20T BOTTLEJACK LOL. I WILL BE HONEST ASWELL, I GOT A LITTLE LAZY AND COUNDNT BE BOTHERD
TO MAKE NEW GEARBOX MOUNTS FOR IT SO I JUST CUT THEM OFF THE OLD ONE......FELT WRONG BUT IT WORKED.

ROUGH LAY OUT OF THE LINKS, THE RADIUS ARM PINS ARE IN THERE UNTILL I GET THE NEW DEDICATED BUNG MACHINED UP WITCH IS DIFFICULT BECAUSE THE LATHE AT WORK HAS NO READOUTS! NONE ATALL!....ANY VOLENTEERS? Laughing

INPUT WELCOME, SAY IT IF YOU DONT THINK ITLL WORK

very little. ive been waiting for bits to be machined for months now. but i have a PTO adapter coming over from denmark at the end of the month so i can start on the god winch atleast. i have a set of 44s for it also but thats about it unfortunatly. its one of those......"i cant do this with out that and i cant do that with out this" situations. and at the moment what im really short on is time. ive started a new job and were busy at the moment. i have also split with my partner so im also seing my little girl when ever i can. my new girlfriend also wants to build a 1380 supercharged mini with a full cage in it.........where we will find time for that i have no idea! but watch this space, ill be molesting the truck soon. thanks for taking an interest Smile

The landrover chassis end of radius arm bushes will fcuk up very quickly

I couldn't get more than half a day out of genuine bushes

my orginal setup

very quickly converted to balistic fab joints at the chassis end.

The G wagon threw a rod, and is currently waist deep in nettles propping a hedge up.
