Take a couple of old server rails (the kind the big storage computers sit in), and a couple of thrown out 18mm plywood pallets.....
Total cost? Free!
Had an overhang at the front, but chose not to cut it back as it made a perfect place to put the speakers. Not sanded/varnished yet, but i'll probably put a rubber mat or a bit of carpet across the top.

dont use carpet, it`ll get manky in no time.
vtrax has plenty of rubber if thats the route you go down.
