There are 3 threads on the first page of this section alone alone on the 300tdi and one on the legality of oil.

if you cant use google my friend , i think alternative fuels may be out of your " comfort zone"

the simple answer is YES and they love it. but only when properly hot and with a means to flush the fuel system out before shutting down for the day.

svo is fresh, or unused oil, just like comes out of the bottle from asda.

Wvo is waste oil, just like comes from the back of chippys. but unless you know what you are doing, stay well clear at this time of year.

ok, thanks, can i get away with using SVO at this time of year, or am i best staying away from it all?

If i can use it, im assuming its best to mix it with the diesel? on what ratio?

first things first here

do NOT Get anything with palm oil in it.. it solidifies and will be a nastily expensive bill if it freezes in your lines..

second.. i would say no less that 50:50 but that depends on where you live.,

i wouldnt even run it on that. this time of year is not a good time to start experimenting as a quick overnight frost and you could be walking to work.

for a week or so........

i run mine on veg with a ratio of 80% diesel to 20% veg , thats svo . any more and a good frost and your stuffed . if it were me and i wasn`t sure as to what i was doing i`d leave it untill spring and the weather warms up again . also worth noteing , is that veg has no lubricating capacity for your fuel pump , so a good slug of two stroke oil wouldn`t do it any harm,

I've been running Costco oil or a year now, I vary the ratio on the external temp, the tdi loves it, got caught out once on a freezing morning but that was my own fault. If I'm of to Wales (130 miles ) I leave the oil in the house by the radiator over night then drop it in before I set off.
