hi all,

come to make a new exhaust for my bobtail, im going for the straight through option with a single cherry bomb, but wasnt sure what would be best:

an inline one- such as this

or an end one like this-

any thoughts? what has everyone else done?

I have a single cherry bomb on mine. It sounds awesome when giving it the beans offroading. However, be warned, driving it on the road can become very tiresome with the noise. I actual fact, it's so loud I'm thinking of changing back to a more standard(ish) system.

In reality too antisocial, but before that I just had a middlebox and that was fine.

Do you not need a box of some sort to provide back pressure?

I thought the thread was about noise, not performance.

nope, backpressure is just resistance to flow and takes power from the engine to overcome. It has standard cast manifolds, y pipe then a 2" pipe that will provide resistance and help with the pulses. That said I'm not trying to race tune it & obviously it's not going to pass an MOT Smile
